Auto City Classic - Mercury
Edsel Ford created Mercury in 1939 to slot between Ford and Lincoln in the corporate lineup, and the brand had a 71-year run before being phased out in 2010. Mercury's classic-era highlights include the chopped-and-channeled 1949–51 'lead sled' coupes that became the definitive customizer canvas, the Cougar 'pony car' that paired Mustang underpinnings with Lincoln-grade interior trim, the big Marauder and Marquis full-size cars, the Comet and Cyclone performance variants, and the Mercury-version Cougar Eliminator.
Most Mercury restoration projects involve the Cougar, Comet, Cyclone, Caliente, Marauder, Monterey, Montclair, Park Lane, and the Colony Park station wagons. Browse the Mercury categories below for model-specific reproduction body, glass, weatherstrip, brake, suspension, fuel, and trim parts.
