Auto City Classic - Cougar

The Mercury Cougar (1967–1997, then 1999–2002) is one of the most important cars in Mercury's history — a Mustang-based personal-luxury pony car that gave Mercury serious youth-market credibility. The 1967–1970 first-generation cars, particularly the XR-7 and the rare GT-E and Eliminator variants, are major muscle-era collectibles. The 1971–1973 second-gen cars went bigger; 1974–1979 cars moved to the Torino platform.
