The Dodge Dakota (1987–2011) was Dodge's mid-size pickup, slotting between the compact S-10/Ranger class and the full-size Ram. The 1987–1996 first-generation Dakota was the original — and the 1989–1991 Dakota Sport Convertible (one of only a handful of convertible pickups ever produced) and the Magnum-powered Dakota R/T of 1998–2003 are the standout collector variants.
