Founded in 1900 by brothers John and Horace Dodge as a parts supplier and turned automaker in 1914, Dodge has spent its history balancing dependable family cars with serious performance and serious trucks. The Mopar muscle era produced some of the most desirable American cars ever built — the Charger R/T and Daytona, the Challenger R/T and T/A, the Coronet R/T and Super Bee, the Dart GTS and Demon — most powered by 383, 440 Magnum, 440 Six Pack, or 426 Hemi V8s.
