Auto City Classic - Challenger

The Dodge Challenger first generation (1970–74) was Mopar's answer to the Mustang and Camaro, built on the E-body platform shared with the Plymouth Barracuda. The 1970–71 cars are the most valuable Challengers, particularly the R/T variants powered by the 426 Hemi, 440 Six Pack, 440 Magnum, or 383 Magnum, and the lightweight T/A built for SCCA Trans-Am racing. Today the 1970–71 Hemi 'Cuda and Hemi Challenger trade among the most expensive American collector cars ever sold.

Most original-Challenger restoration projects involve the 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, or 1974 model year — with year-specific grilles, taillights, and trim that need to match. Reproduction body, glass, weatherstrip, interior, R/T-stripe, and Hemi-correct trim parts are well-supported.
