Auto City Classic - Barracuda

The Plymouth Barracuda was launched two weeks before the Mustang in April 1964, but it was the third-generation 1970–74 'Cuda that turned the model into an icon. Built on the same E-body platform as the Dodge Challenger, the 1970 'Cuda with the 426 Hemi or 440 Six Pack is a blue-chip muscle car — and the convertible Hemi 'Cudas are among the most valuable American automobiles ever built. The 1964–66 first-generation fastback and the 1967–69 second-generation fastback, notchback, and convertible rounded out the run.

Most Barracuda restoration projects involve the 1970–71 'Cuda (especially Hemi and 440 Six Pack cars), the 1972–74 cars, the 1967–69 second generation, and the early 1964–66 fastback. Reproduction body, glass, weatherstrip, interior, AAR-correct fiberglass hoods, and Hemi/440 trim components are well-supported.
