The Oldsmobile Cutlass (1961–1999) is one of the longest-running American model names. Major eras: 1961–1963 F-85 Cutlass compact, 1964–1972 mid-size A-body Cutlass (the platform of the 4-4-2 muscle cars), 1973–1977 Colonnade Cutlass (the best-selling car in America 1976–1981), 1978–1988 G-body Cutlass, and the front-wheel-drive Cutlass Ciera and Cutlass Supreme of later years.
