The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 (originally 'four-barrel carburetor, four-speed transmission, dual exhausts') was Olds' muscle-car answer to the GTO. Major eras: the 1964–1967 first-gen cars (an option package on the Cutlass), the 1968–1972 second-gen standalone 4-4-2, and the rare 1968–1972 Hurst/Olds. The 1970 W-30 4-4-2 with the 455 V8 and 500 lb-ft of torque represents the muscle-era high-water mark.
