The Jeep Jeepster has appeared in two distinct eras: the 1948–1950 Willys-Overland Jeepster — a sporty open-body 2WD touring car based on the CJ chassis — and the 1966–1971 Jeepster Commando, a small body-on-frame 4×4 SUV. The original 1948–1950 Jeepster is one of the rarest and most distinctive Willys products, with limited production and unique phaeton-style styling.
