Auto City Classic - Torino

The Ford Torino started life in 1968 as a top-trim variant of the Fairlane and quickly became its own model. The 1968–69 cars produced some of Ford's most committed performance machines: the Cobra Jet 428-powered Torino GT, and the aerodynamically-tuned 1969 Talladega (NASCAR homologation special). The 1970–71 Torino is the best-known generation today, with the Cobra and the Boss-engineered 429 Cobra Jet representing the high-water mark. The 1972–76 cars went bigger and softer, and were immortalized as Starsky and Hutch's red-and-white striped 1976 Torino.

Most Torino restoration projects involve the 1968–69 first generation, the 1970–71 second generation, and the 1972–76 third generation. Reproduction body, glass, weatherstrip, and Cobra-correct interior and exterior trim are well-supported.
