Auto City Classic - Thunderbird

The Ford Thunderbird launched in 1955 as a two-seat 'personal luxury' car aimed squarely at Chevrolet's new Corvette, and the 1955–57 'Baby Bird' two-seaters are among the most coveted American collector cars from any era. From 1958 onward Ford grew the Thunderbird into a four-seat personal-luxury coupe and convertible, with the 1958–60 'Square Bird,' 1961–63 'Bullet Bird,' 1964–66 'Flair Bird,' and 1967–71 'Glamour Bird' generations each having distinct styling identities and dedicated collector communities.

Thunderbird restoration most often centers on the 1955–57 two-seaters, the 1958–60 Square Birds, the 1961–63 Bullet Birds (especially the M-code 390 Sports Roadster), and the 1964–66 Flair Birds. Reproduction body, glass, weatherstrip, and porthole-and-trim components are well-supported, and many soft trim items are available in OE-correct form.
