Auto City Classic - Bronco

The Ford Bronco launched in 1966 as a compact body-on-frame 4×4 — a direct competitor to the Jeep CJ and International Scout — and the first-generation 1966–77 cars are now among the most valuable American 4×4s of any era. Restored early Broncos with the 289 or 302 V8, the optional Sport package, and uncut quarter panels regularly trade in collector-car territory. The 1978–79 second-generation Broncos shared the F-150 platform and chassis; the 1980–96 third- through fifth-generation Broncos continued on the F-Series platform with progressively more refined styling and powertrains.

Bronco restoration aftermarket support is strong, particularly for the 1966–77 first generation, where reproduction tubs, fenders, hoods, doors, glass, weatherstrip, and interior soft trim are all available. The 1978–96 full-size Broncos draw on the same parts catalog as the contemporary F-150, with Bronco-specific rear bodywork and trim pieces also reproduced.
