The Cadillac Escalade (1999–present) is Cadillac's full-size luxury SUV — initially a lightly-restyled GMC Yukon Denali introduced quickly to compete with the Lincoln Navigator, then evolving into a defining American luxury SUV. The first-gen 1999–2000 cars are the rarest, while the 2002–2006 second-gen is the platform most strongly identified with the Escalade name in pop culture.
